Business Practices
This course
includes the foundations of business theory and skills that prepare the
students to have successful careers as massage therapists.
Students learn the basics of practice management, business
ethics, planning for retirement, accounting, record keeping, and tax
law. Many therapists work as independent contractors or sole
proprietors therefore self employment taxes, healthcare insurance are
discussed. Development of business cards and brochures are also
part of the discussion.
